Per Greville and Co.’s Express (Beater’s Agents). Auckland, 2.28 p.in. By the latest Southern telegrams to hand it appears that Kcreopa has been committed for trial. James Clark, a patient in the Christchurch Lunatic Asylum, has hanged himself. Hugh Blackmore Sheperd, who was reported to have committed suicide on the 27th ultimo, subsequently returned to his home. Pie has since really committed suicide by cutting his throat. Christie’s friends offer to back him again against Walker for £I,OOO a side. The ranges to be as before. As an earnest of business, £250 have been staked with Captain Robertson, of the Naval Brigade.
