THE THAMES REGATTA.

To the Edior of The Thames Guardian’

Sir, —A report having been circulated that the cup I intend giving, to be competed for at the Thames regatta, is to be competed for by three boats only. Now, I wish to contradict the statement. The race is to be open to all British born subjects ; and wishing to make the race as exciting as possible, I give the prizo to be row r ed for by not less than three boats, and as many more as wish to go in for it. Each boat is to be manned either by two English, two Scotch, two Irish, or two New Zealanders—not maories ; or subjects born either in England or the Colonies. —I am, &c. F. 11. Lewisson.
