THAMES REGATTA.

A meeting of the Committee was held last night at the Pacific Hotel. There were a great many of the members present, and Mr Fitz Gibbons was voted to the chair.

A letter was read from Mr Lewisson, stating that he would give a silver drinking cup as a prize for a pair oared race, the boats to be manned by 2 Englishmen, 2 Irismcn, and 2 Scotchmen. .All nationalities to be represented, or no race. Any number allowed to compete. The offer was accepted, and the race substituted for the live oared whaleboat race, which was struck out. Various alterations and amendments were made in the programme, which will be published at an early date. The meeting was then adjourned until Tuesday next, the 19th inst., at 8 p.m.
