WARDEN’S COURT— Yesterday.

Before tV. Eraser, Esq., Warden. Mcllhone v. Norton. —This was a complaint by the Inspector of miners’ rights, charging the defendant, John Norton, with cutting timber for sale without holding a timber license, whereby he had rendered himself liable to a penalty not exceeding £lO.—John Norton was examined, and said he had been cutting timber. He had had a license but it had expired. He cut the timber when he had a license but sold it when he had not.— The R.M. fined defendant 20s. and costs. Alexander Mclntosh v. J. L. Finlay.— In this case the defendant was charged as the registered owner of one full share in the Green Isle claim, with not having fairly worked the same. There was no appearance of the parties, and the caso was struck out. G. Olatworthy v. J. Finlay. —This was a complaint precisely similar to the last, and was dealt with in like manner.
