Before W. I'IIASKU, Esq., 11.11. Alexander Daly v. James McLeod.— Mr Macdonald for plaintiff ; Air Lascclles for defendant.—This was a claim for £l2 12s Gd, for wages as a seaman on board the 1 William and Julia,’ a collier trading between the Bay of Islands and Grahamstown. —The defence was a set off for goods supplied, exceeding the amount claimed, and some of the items were disputed. It was also stated that defendant was often drunk and incapable of performing his work.—The R.M. gave judgment for plaintiff for £3 ‘Js 2d, and costs, £2 10s.
