THAMES HARBOR COMMITTEE MEETING.
A public meeting was to have been held on Saturday evening, pursuant to> advertisement, at the American Theatre, Shortland, at seven o’clock, to consider the best measures, to be taken to obtain a suitable appropriation from the public revenue for the year 1872, for harbor works at the Thames. At the hour named,: very few persons were present. . On the motion of Mr Wabmoll, seconded by Mr Dodd, Dr Kilgour took the chair. The Chairman said all present were aware of the object of the meeting, but he thought it would be useless to detain them as there was so small an attendance. Perhaps some gentleman would tnove an adjournment until Monday. ».... j Mr SoUTKR then moved that this meeting be adjourned until half-past 3 o’clock pn Monday afternoon, at the Academy of Music, Grahamstown, or if that could not be procured, to some other suitable place ; and notice to be given by advertisement in the local papers on Monday morning of the time and place appointed.
