Auckland, Dec. 7, 8.57 p.m. In the Provincial Council, to-night, Mr Mackay presented a petition from the residents of Upper Tararu, in favor of the formation of a road. The petition was read and received. Mr Mitchell asked, “ Whether the water supply to Grahamstown would bo extended to Rolleston-street, Shortland, and Ilape Creek ?” The Provincial Secretary said that a sum was on the estimates for the work, which would be done if the amount was voted.
