Kcunau, Esq,, Yackaudandah, Ovens District :—Hermitage wine, at Cs per gallon, quarterr-casks, in bond ; Reisling wine (Nvhitc), 5s (id per gallon, quarter-casks. Mr James Craig sold by auction yesterday at Mr Sargent’s Mart, the right to. erect booths aud grand stand for the approaching Caledonian Sports. The attendance nv.is numerous, and the bidding spirited. I lie lots were knocked down as follows : 1. Grand Stand and booth underneath, £27, Mr Manuel. 2. Booth ou right hand side of grand stand. £ls, Mrs Cairns. 3. Booth left hand side grand stand. £lO, Mrs Senior. •I. Four fruit stalls fetched —£215 s, Mr Mund ;£2 10s. Mrs Tyler ; £2 17s fid, Tobias ; £2 17s Gd, Haynes. SIIABEMABKET. The sliaremarket yesterday was dull, and very little stock changed hands, owing principally to the telegraph being stopped till about fi o’clock in tlic evening. Caledonians. £B7 10s ; Thames, £2O, with buyers at lower rates ; Tookoys were in great demand at £4O to £42 ; Nonpareils, £3 Ids ; (Jtagos. £3 17s fid; Shooting Star shares ny ere in good demand, consequent on the rich find: Waitematas. £l2 12s (id; Central Italy, £2 10.,; Golden Calf, £2 17s fid ; Inverness in demand at 27s fid, and Smiling Beauty 4s. No enquiry for any other stock.
