Sunday, 9 a.m. The barque ‘ Alice ’ will clear at the Customs, Auckland, to-day (Monday), for New York, and sail with a full cargo of 4,664 cases and 2 tons (in bulk) of gum, and 1,058 bales flax. The p.s. ‘ Royal Alfred ’ has been laid on as a regular trader between Auckland and Coromandel, commencing on Monday. Sunday, 9.30 a.m. The affiliation case, Mary Bailey v. James Paul, which was to have come on for hearing at the Police Court on Saturday, was withdrawn, the prosecutrix, through her solicitor, acknowledging that there was not sufficient ground for action. 5.30 p.m. The s.s. * St. Ivilda ’ has arrived from Wanganui. The prorogation speech was delivered on the 16th.
