COMMERCIAL.
Thames Guardian Office, Friday evening, November 17. SIIAREMARKET. The Rbavcmarket yesterday was very brisk in Caledonians and Thames. The former sold at from L 95 to LlO2 10s, but towards the evening they were easier aud sold at L 97 110 s. Thames were freely in demand all day at L2O, and a good few changed hands. Tookcy’s sold at L3O, and were in much demand,but sellers very scarce. Bright Smiles were in demand all day, and close with buyers at L2 10s. Bird in Hand, Queen of May, and Queen of Thames were enquired after, but few sellers. Some small parcels of Queen of Thames sold at 3s : City of London sold at 10s, and Inverness at 25s ; Albion also enquired for at L 7 ss, but holders very firm. Tone of the market is healthy, but slightly excited. Jame Craig held a large sale of household furniture and effects at Scherff’s store, in Pollen-street, Shorthand. The attendance was good, and prices obtained highly satisfactory to sellers.
