Thames Guardian Office, Thursday evening, November 10. Mr Craig sold by auction, at noon yesterday, 681 tons of tailings from tlie Golden Crown, 300 of which fetched 17s 3d per ton, and 381 17s. Mr J. P». Perry was the purchaser. Mr Gudgeon sold yesterday two houses in Davy-strect—one fetched £45, the purchases being Mr Mahoney ; the other fetched £25, and was bought by Mr Spry, who put it up again and sold it to Mr Jeffrey for £3O. These houses have an unexpired. lease of lOi years, at a ground rent of £l2 10s per annum. STIAREMARKET. The Sharemarket yesterday was rather lively towards the evening, but during the day was dull, owing to the Odd Fellows’ holiday and procession to Tararu. Caledonians were in demand at L 95 : Thames L2O 10s ; Tookcy's. L2B. In the forenoon Queen of the May sold at 3s 9d, with holders seeking higher rates owing to new leader in Bright Smile, supposed to go through this ground. Queen of the Thames sold at 3s, and City of London, 10s. Otagos, L 4 ; Nonpareils, L 3 17s Cd; Moanataiari. L 4 ; Bright Smile, L2 2s 6d ; Central Italy, L2 10s; Italians 9s ; Golden Cross, L2 15s. Very little doing in other stock.
