MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS.
Golden Ring G.AI.C. Registered.— An extraordinary meeting of the shareholders in the above company was held last evening, when rules were passed and directors elected. The ground is situated next to the Golden Phoenix, Otanui block. The directors resolved prior to commencing regular mining operations to get out about ten tons of stone, and to have a trial crushing at the Phoenix battery. Good prospects have already been obtained from the reef which, when opened, is two feet wide. Nevada. —An extraordinary meeting of shareholders of the Nevada G.AI. Co. (Registered), was held yesterday, at the Company’s office, when directors were elected, rules confirmed, and the financial position of the company considered. The financial statement shewed the debts of the company to amount to £56 7s 9d. The new board immediately met and made a first call of two shillings and sixpence, which covers the two calls previously made. As soon as funds are in hand, it is intended to go on with the works, which have been temporarily suspended, owing to scarcity of funds.
