POLICE COURT. — Yesterday.

Before W. Fraser, Esq., R.M. Drunkenness. —Mary Ivelly was charged with being drunk, to which she pleaded that “it was in her own place ” —an equivalent, we presume, to not guilty.— Sergeant Green proved the offence to have been committed in Queen-street. Fined 10s., or 24 hours’ imprisonment. —Annie Lidey pleaded guilty to the charge of being drunk and disorderly, in Owenstreet, Grahnmstown, the previous night, and was fined 205., with the alternative of 48 hours’ imprisonment. In reference to this lady, the following advertisement has appeared lately in the D. S. Cross : “ To Mrs. Annie Lidey,—lf you do not write to your husband within three months from this date he intends to marry again. —Richard Lidey, October 20, 1871.” Vagrant Cattle, &c. —Jeremiah Waite vas lined 55., and costs for permitting two horses to wander at large in the public street. —Joseph Phillips for a like offence as regarded one horse, was fined 2s. Gd. and costs. —William Baker was also dealt with in like manner for a similar offence. —George Cribb, charged with permitting three pigs to wander at large, was fined Is. per pig and costs.
