LONDON SHIPPING

(from OUR AUCKLAND CORRESPONDENT.) The ship ‘jCity of Auckland’left London for Auckland on September 12th, and was off the Isle of Wight on the evening of the 13th. Captain Ashby, in his letter, says, “I am full of cargo, about 1,100 tous, with 24 chief cabin, 30 second class, and 24 third class passengers. We landed the pilot off the Isle of Wight, at G p.m. on the 13tli. The wind is N.E., light, and if it continues I hope to he clear of the Channel to-morrow evening. You may expect me about the middle of December, as I shall do my best to keep up the good name of the ship‘City of Auckland.’ ” The barque Ferndale left Liverpool for this port on the lltli September.
