Before W. Fraser, Esq., R.M. Drunkenness. —David Dobson, Timothy Donovan, and Edward Griffiths were dealt Avitli in the usual manner for this offence. Letting off Fireworks. Joseph Jennings, aged 19, was charged Avitli letting off exploshe material in Pollenstreet, to the danger and annoyance of the passers by, on Saturday night last.— Mr. Bullen stated that on Saturday evening a number of boys, of Avliom the accused appeared to he the ringleader, were letting off crackers in Pollen-street, Tlie youth refused to give his name and Avas taken Into custody. Ashe had been in the lock-up since Saturday, perhaps the R.M. would think it sufficient punishment. —The mother of the accused, who Avas in Court, said she hoped the R.M. Avould let her boy off this time. —His Worship said, under the circumstances he AA-ould do so, but if the lad appeared again here he Avould not get off so easily. At his age he ought to knoAV better. —The' accused Avas then discharged. Windoav Breaking. —A lad named James McQuillan Avas charged Avith maliciously breaking one pane of glass in a Avindow of Holdship’s Bath-House, GrahainstoAvn, Beach, yesterday. —The accused pleaded guilty.—Mr. DaAndson, manager for Messrs. Holdship, stated that he saw the accused and another lad getting aAvay over the fence, and suspecting something to bo wrong, folloAved and caught them. The accused did not deny the charge, but offered to pay for the damage.—Mr. Bullen stated that the parents of the youth Avere Avilling to pay. —The R.M. said that but for the lenient course Avhich the prosecutor had thought fit to take, the accused bad rendered himself liable to be sent to gaol for three months. —Under the circumstances be Avould be liberated on payment of Bs. and costs. The money Avas paid immediately.
