The sharemarket opened pretty brisk This morning, with a good enquiry for lied Queens, which gradually rose to 10s (id, at which price a good many changed hands ; they eased off late in the afternoon to 8s (id, but closed firm at 9s to 10s. Cures were also in demand at 4s, but very few changed ham Is ; Caledonians changed hands freely at £1 -0, but held for £122 10s; Thames, £23 10s; Nonpareils, £5 ; All Nations, £5 10s, well held; Golden Calfs, £2 17s (id; Ccntr.-Us, £2 10s; Smiling Beauty, (is (id ; Standards, Os ; Mary Anns, 2s (id ; Queen of Thames, 3s ; liubys, 4h (id to 5s ; Waitematas, 15s, witlr very few buyers, and sellers for higher rates. The general tone of the market- has been much healthier than for some days past.
