PHR GIUVILLE & CO.’S (Reuter's Agsnta) EXPRESS.] 0 CHARGE WITHDRAWN IN THE HAZELBANK PERJURY CASE. ARRIVAL OF THE ‘BELLA MARY.’ S ASSISTED PASSAGES GRANTED. THE SHAREMARKET. Auckland, 9 p.m. At the police Court this morning, the charge of peijury against R. H. Stevenson, in connection with the Hazelbank case was withdrawn. Mr. Beckham commented in severe terms on the conduct of the prosecution in making so serious a charge and afterwards withdrawing it. The barque ‘ Bella Mary,’ Captain Copping, arrived from Hobart Town this afternoon. She brings no later Australian news. A Provincial Government ‘ Gazette ’ was published to-day, containing ten applications for goldmiuing leases, seven for the Hauraki district, and three for Coromandel; also two withdrawals, and six registers of new companies. It is also notified in the * Gazette ’ that assisted passages from England will be granted. Caledonians have changed hands at £122 10s. ; Thames, £23 10s. ; Moanataiaris, £3 12s.
