MAP OF THE GOLDFIELD.

We have been favoured with a view of a map of this goldfield which has been in course of preparation for some months past by Messrs. Beere Brothers, of this town. The map is 7 feet long by 5 broad, and contains an area of 20 square miles of country. It shows, distinctly marked, all leases, known claims, machines, and machine sites, tramways, wire tramways, creeks, and tracks, and the ranges are also marked very correctly. The townships of Shortland, Grahamstown, and Tararu are included, and tlio map will form a most complete index to the whole field. Additions can from time to time he made, as found necessary. It is the intention of the compilers to have it photographed so as to reduce it to an easy portable size. It will be completed about the end of this week, and in a very short time will he before the public. It is by far the most, finished and complete thing of the sort avc have yet seen, and there is no doubt that it will he appreciated by those avlio wish for correct information respecting the field.
