The Crest of the Wave had to seek shelter on the coast on several occasions. The cutter Fly, which left here on Thursday evening to take iq a load of firewood from the bush near Tapu, got ashore on tho rocks about three miles from Hastings and broke the spindle of her rudder. When the tide left her she was some feet out of the water on the highest point of a rock, but she was got off yesterday. She has, however, sustained some damage, having two holes in her bottom.
