Freight at Current Rates, and Consignees’ Property landed upon Shortland Wharf, avoiding damage from weather and rough treatment incurred by landing upon the beach. Shippers of Horses and Cows, kc., can walk their cattle from the steamers on to Shortland Wharf, thus avoiding the great risk of slinging.
