MISCELLANEOUS.
In reßpect of the top-dressing of footpaths as recommended by the overseer, it was de-cided to postpone action until after Christmas. Mr Blyth drew attention to the condition of the north side of Wood street. He considered that the footpath should be kerbed and asphalted. Mr Scannell considered that when asphalting had to be done it would be better to make as good a job as possible, and let aB much work of the kind as funds allowed, and he would move—" That the tender now in for asphalting in Commerce street be returned, and fresh tenders be called for work in Commerce Street and Wood street." This motion was seconded by Mr Coira, and carried. The next meeting falling upon the Ist January, it was resolved to adjourn it until the Tuesday following. ACCOUNTS. Accounts to the amount of £33 12s 6d were passed for payment, and the board adjourned.
