Tovey; totalisator clerk, Mr 0. Grahame; handicapper, Mr G. Dowse (Dunedin), The annual meeting of the Timaru Trotting Club was held on Thursday last •in a paddock off Wai-iti road. The weather was fine and the attendance good. The officers of the club were all attentive to their duties, and the meeting passed off pleasantly, although none of the finishes wero sensational. Omapere scr, Nobby 4sec, Estella Bsec, and Red Light lOsec, also trotted. Time, 4min 525 sec. Dividend, £2 ss. Second Heat; Mr Chris Harold’s blk g Duncan, 4sec, 1; Mr Battes’ br g Mexican Plug, Bsec, 2 ; Mr R. Irving’s r g Thorn, 2aec, 3. Quite So 6sec, Alice Gray Bsec, Slowness lOsec, and Ngapara lOsec, also started. Time, 4min 43 l/ssec. Dividend, £1 6s.
