FENIAN CONVENTION.
London, Sept. 28. The Dublin Independent denounces, the Chicago Convention, aud asserts that no leading Irish people are present: o'hicaoo, Sept. 26. The Fenian Convention cheered the statement that it is intended to organise a standing army. Messrs Tignan and Rossa were preseut, Sept. 27. The Chicago Irish Convention has instituted an Irish National Alliauco. Mr William Lyman, a wealthy New Yorker, has been elected president of the military brotherhood. New York, Sept. 29. The Chicago Fenian Alliance has fallen flat, and it is believed that the ihreatened violence is merely talk.
