S IR) —The article in your issue o Tues lay last has beau read with great interest in Geraldine, and I think it very clearly gives the main principles upon which Terminating Societies are formed. Yoqr remarks as to tjio formation of a local society are mqch to tl)e point, but it is consul.red hero, and I think with justice, that both Geraldine and Temuka could easily support separate societies, and that the nature of the undertaking makes a purely local management do sirablo. The question has been gone into hero, aud a public meeriug is to bo called at an early date. A slight delay is taking place owing to the fact that those moving in the matter want to collepfc all possible information, so that wh°h a meeting is held a society can be formed straight away. It was represented in that article that the winner of a El5O loan would have to pay it back in weekly 7 instalments of 10s. This was wrong. He would have to pay it back in weekly instalments of ss, wliicli would make the thing much easier.—En.j
