QUOITS.
The final match between the Geraldine and Temuka clubs was played at Temuka on Thursday afternoon. The first teams of each club played the match eight men on each side, and.there was also a second team match of four men a side, the scene being a very animated one whilst play was in progress. Geraldine won the first-team match by 27 points, the number of games won being even. Sherratt and Twigg were top scorers for Geraldine, and Daun and Nelson for Temuka. As these pairs had not met during the match, they played two games after it was over by desire of the spectators, the local men winning by 35 to 33. There have now been four matches played. The play has been very even, as Geraldine are only 7 points to the good, and every game has been contested with good feeling between the clubs. The second-team match was won by Temuka by 2 points, although Geraldine won 5 games to 3. Geraldine First.
