QUOITS.
GERALDINE V. TFMUKA. These two clubs had a most enjoyable aud exciting game at Geraldine on Thursday afternoon. The Temuka men left with oue man short, as Nelson did not turn up, but they prevailed on Mr Opie, of Winchester, to go up with their team. With the exception of two of the pitches, which were played on twitch, the ground played well. The finish was very exciting right up to the last quoits thrown, when Temuka wanted one point to win, and Geraldine oue to tie. Brosuahan threw up the last one for Temuka, which landed 3 inches from the pin, and Fronting followed suit for Geraldine, just beating him by half an inch, thus making a tie with 283 points each. This match was to have been the final for the season, but as both dubs are still equal the deciding contest will have to be played at Temuka. The following are the scores : Temuka. P.
