Guinness & LeCreu report as follows ; —'l'bia fixture was held at the Washdyke yards as usual on Thursday last, but this year for tne first time uuder the auspices of the South Canterbury Agricultural and. Pastoral Association. The new arrangement worked well, and is a great improvement on the old system of scrambling for pans, though it is still open for improvement, and the sale was conduted with comparatively little loss of time. The entry was larger than last year, and although there was a good attendance of buyers and others interested, the sale dragged, and low prices were the order of the day. Our entry numbered over 400, of which we sold 212 at from 1 to 5 guineas.
