Tho Federal Council adopted motions favouring the appointment of an Australian dudgeon the Privy Council ; early consideration of tho Commonwealth Bill by the various Parliaments ; abd summoning a second Convention. Messrs Deakiu and Turner, of Victoria, considered tho last motion unnecessary in view of tho decision arrived at by the Premiers’ Conference, and suggested its withdrawal. Tim motion, however, on being put was earned, tho Victorian delegatus withdrawing. Hobart was fixed on for the next meeting of the Federal Council.
