CALEDONIAN SPORTS.
At Timaru on Wednesday the following events were competed for after our reporter left:— Half Mile Walk (boys)—Prizes 15s, 10s, and 5s : Donnithorne, 1; Fullet, 2; Kelly, 3. Three Standing Springs—Prizes £llos, 10s, and ss—D. Tee, 1; Wilson, 2; J. Donn, 3. Standing Hop, Step, and Jump Prizes £l, 10s, and 5s : Tee (27ft lOiu), 1 ; Mara (27ft 9in), 2; Uru (27ft Bin), 3. 200 Yards Flat Race (Consolatiou)— Prizes £2, £l, and 10s: Voyce, 1; Wilson, 2 ; Orton, 3. 1 Mile Bicycle Race (Consolation) — Trophies £2, £l, and 10s: J. Orr, scr, 1; J. Hay, 150yds, 2; G. Burford, 150yds, 3.
At the Dunedin Caledonians Sports on Tuesday about 7000 persons attended. In the Caledonian Handicap, the 100 yardß distance was won by R. Campbell, lOjyds; P. E. Wilson, 6Ayds, second. In the wrestling competition, 11 stone and Under, the best of three styles, the places were—R. Powley 1, M. Powley 2, and W. Riddell 3. In the 350 yards distance Caledonian Handicap, E. P. Wilson, 18 yards, won the final, with C. Brown, 23 yards, secoud, and R. Betton, •22 yards, third- H. J. Pither, Christchurch, won the five mjje bicycle race, with Reynolds, Auckland, second. Pither also won the three mile handicap from scratch, with S. McDonald, 100 yards, second. The mile bicycle handicap was won by R. Erawerson, 40 yards. F. G.
