Subject to any necessary alterations mails will close at the Temuka Post Office as under:— For the Australian Colonies, India, China, and also United Kingdom, Continent, of Europe (specially addressed via Brindisi), per Tarawera, on Saturday, December Bth, at 5 p.m. This mail will be due in London on January 22nd, 1895. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Penguin, on Saturday, December Bth, at 5 p.m. From Ist January next the postage on newspapers for the United Kingdom and foreign countries will be—For the first four ounces in weight, Id; for each succeeding two ounces, Jd. The postage on newspapers for Australian Colonies and South Sea Islands remains as at present, Id for each newspaper. P. P, WHITE, Postmaster.
