CANTERBURY V. WELLINGTON. Cheistchukch, Dec, 6. The cricket match Canterbury v. Wellington was commenced in beautiful weather at Lancaster Park at 2 p.m. today. Wellington won the toss and went in first. At 3 p.m. the score was 60 for 1 wicket. A good stand was made, the innings closing for 182. Canterbury at the call of time had scored 84 without having a wicket down, Brisbane, Deo. 5. In the match against 18 of Toowomba, the Englishmen have lost 6 wickets for 158 runs. Dec. 6. The Englishmen made 216 in their first innings; Toowomba in their second innings scored 105, but though the visitors only wanted three to win, the match was drawn.
