Bridges, Thomas G. Horah, Mrs F. Richardson, Alan Holmes, G. Jackson, J. Jackson, Miss M. Murray, G. T, Murray, Charles Smith, Alexander J, Traup, R. L. Williams, wife and child, Norman Brook, Chief Justice Ide (of Samoa) and two daughters, Dr Hoakin, R.N., Mate Kaiuer, Mrs A. Friugs, Percy A. Hadley, and 11 in the steerage. GENERAL SUMMARY. (Dates from Europe up to November 14th). Neville & Co., merchants, of East Oheapaide, London, failed on November 14th for £IOO,OOO, They wore in the Canadian timber business. A favourable liquidation is expected. Colonel Majindie, Chief ~ lnßDoctor o{ Explosives, jJS‘Lul on i e t jj o 22th in a niche outside the Law Courts, was not charged. Letters from Japan, of October 20th, tell of the arrival there of Lord and Ludy Randolph Churchill. Lord Randolph’s health continues so precarious that he was obliged to decline all social functions. It is accepted as certain in London that he will never return to public life, and that the political career that promised so brilliantly only a few years ago is thus at an end.
