The body of au old man has been found in the Mangapai river at Auckland. His name is unknown. At Wellington Richard Henry Burgess, aged about 40, a labourer employed by the City Corporation, was found drowned in the harbour on Friday morning. Deceased was summoned to appear at the Magistrates Court for assaulting his wife, with whom he had lived unhappily since he made some property over to her. Baieserbe, an Italian fisherman living at Paramatta, Wellington, is believed to be drowned. He was following his occupation on Saturday, and at night his boat and two dogs which he had with him were found on the rocks. There were no signs of the body. Johu McLaren, of Lawrenoe, Otago, an expressman, was found dead in Wetterstone's Creek on Saturday morning. It is thought he was seized with an apoplectic fit and fell into the water and was drowned.
