Tho official closing of the Oalifoinian Midwinter Fair took place ou July 4. Tho final closing was held on Sunday, July 9, and was marked by a carnival. Gambling was carried on in every direction, and arrests for indecent axhibitionß in tome of the show buildings were made by the Society for the Suppression of Vice. Principally for the administration, the fair has been a success, but a great number of the concessionaires curse loud and deep at the loss of their time and money.
