SHIPPING DISASTERS.

Brisbane, Sept. 6. , The survivoßS of the Cambuß Wallace landed from the vessel in a terrible plight. They were almost naked. Six lives were lost, five Hy drowning and the sixth bucoumbed en route to Brisbane from injuries received. Birch, the .steward, got locked in the cabin, and was unable to get put. The other victims were—O'Neil (cook), Smith (carpenter), Paterson, McLachlan and Peebles (seamen). Pane, chief engineer of the vessel, was seriously injured.

Sydney, Sept. 3. A cable from Noumea states that the Dart has just arrived from the New Hebrides, and reports that the Ringarooma has been wrecked south-east of Mallicolo. All hands were saved but the ship is supposed to be a total loss. Two French warships have gone to her assistance. No. details are yet known. It is expected that the Wallaroo will be ordered from New Zealand.

Hawera, Sept. 5. The schooner Christiana from Hokianga was found on the beach at the' mouth of the Waitotara river. A m?le and a half further along the beach two ship's boats were found. The schooner had been leaking and the holes had been plugged with blankets. There is no trace of the crew but it is considered probable that they are somewhere on the shore. The crew consisted of Captain Richards, James McKay White, mate; John Haveity and Robert McKay, A.Bs., and Emanuel Grant, cook.
