A tornado passed over a portion of the Bowen district. It appeared lirst in file shapo of a waterspout, which broke on Flagstaff iJill with a loud report and threw huge bouluors and trees about. The tornado left a track 40 feet wide. Heavy rain fell at Townsville and some parts of the town w'oru Hooded. A man named Bruce was drowned. HukahT, April b'i.
