SIR GEORGE GREY.

London, April 17. The Marquis of Ripon, Secretary for the Colonies, has informed Sir W. B. Perceval that the Imperial Government are quite willing to accord Sir George Grey every recognition in honor of his valuable services to the State. The Colonial Institute intend to entertain him at a banquet. The Imperial Institute is also desirous of giving him a public reception, and the Agent-General of New Zealand will consult Sir George Grey on the matter. April 18. Owing to the state of his health Sir George Grey has declined the dinner with which the colonial members of tho House of Commons proposed te entertain him. He is delighted at the warm welcome he has received, and is specially pleased at the reception accorded him by the Marquis of Bipon, Lord Salisbury, .and Lord Knutsford.
