Arrival of the newwaterbury. It ia not often that the arrival of a shipment of goods in New Zealand waters ia so generally welcomed as the arrival of the present parcel of Waterbury watches. By the fire on the Ruahine 3000 Wateeburys—gold, silver, and nickel—were destroyed, and thia interruption in the regular inflow has keep the market bare till the landing of the present parcel. The Hon. Dr. Pollen stated in the Legislative Council that 95,000 Adult Males. pays the whole of this colony’s taxation, maintains ita Civil Service, runs its railways and public works, and forms the nucleus of the colony’s properity; and yet to this very limited population over 120,000 Waterbueys have been sold and delivered, and the shipment now landing consists of 2880 Wateeburys, which is followed by the Elinor Vernon due in a month with 2880 More, all sold already to the wholesale trade, who have been waiting supplies for from three to four months. Large as these figures are, two other shipments are to arrive before Christmas, and we venture to affirm that no other watch can show a sale in New Zealand during the period covered since the Waterbury advent of One to Each Hundred Wateeburys. Jewellers and retail dealers will kindly send their orders to our agents as quickly as possible. WATERBURY WATCH CO. Bond and Crawford Street, Dunedin.
