London, March 20. The Appeal Court entered up judgment by consent for the public examination of the New Zealand Loan & Mercantile Agency Company directors. The new order regarding the New Zealaud Loan & Mercantile Agency Company does not imply that the New Zealand directors in any way defrauded the company. March 22. Judge Williams refused to entertain the scheme of reconstruction of the Loan and Mercantile Company till the directors have been examined. The directors of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency * -ompany are to be examined bei'ore April H, when the reconstruction scheme will be considered. The Times denies that the Right Hon. A. J. Mundella, President of tho Board of Trade, will-resign office owing to tho remarks of the judge respecting tha directorate of the NZ. Loan'and Mercantile Agency Company, and declares that tho directors await the inquiry with perfect equanimity.
