Mr Al. Burton, advance representative of the above company, has been in Temuka arran firing for a two-nights season, commencing on Tuesday, February 20th. This lust-class organisotion has just concluded a highly successful season in Christchurch, received very flattering notices from the press. The following is from a northern paper“ The company is, no doubt, the best of its kind that has ever visited these parts. And, unlike many others, it is a combination of really clever artists, each individual performer possessing no ordinary amount of ability, Ihe pinging is good all round, the acting clever, while the dadoing is such as is seldom seen here. The burlesque, “ Isle of Beauty, or the Pretty Persians,” went from beginning to end without a hitch. It abounds in fun and witticisms, and the various parts are well pourtrayed. . . . The sensation of the evening was created by Miss Blanche Young in the second part of the progromme, when her graceful evolutions in the " Rainbow Serpentine Dance” drew forth much appreciation. This dance is a very pretty sight, and the audience insisted on a repetition of it. . . . The scenery and dresses of the performers are very gorgious, and when the company go throng.i one of their motion choruses it is p pruty tight.
