CRICKET.

A match took place at Timara on Saturday between teams representing the Timara and Temuka Clubs. Timara went first to the wickets and put up 91 before they were disposed of. Temuks only made 55. The match New South Wales r. Auckland was played at Auckland on Saturday, and was witnessed by 1000 persona. In the first innings New South Wales scored 186 urns, of which Moore, contributed the splendid score of 68. Auckland’s first innings resulted in 93 runs, and being 92 to the bad required to follow on, and in their second innings made 102 runs. New South Wales took a second innings to make the required 11 runs, the game concluding after 7 p.m.. New South Wales winning by 9 wickets.
