THIS ANARCHISTS.
Paris, Jan. 8. The Anarchists threaten to dynamite the gaol and guillotine house in the event of VaiJlant being convicted. The prisoner is doubly guarded. The Pope has issued a letter condemning the Anarchists as men lost to shame, who are striving to ruin public authority. Therefore he renews his commands to the French Catholics to obey the Republic. Romk, Jan. 9.
An ex-member of the Chamber of Deputies, named Giatfrides, has been arrested. Papers found in his house disclose a plot for simultaneous revolt in Sicily, Naples, and Rome. The movement is supposed to be fomented by Anarchists.
A simultaneous raid has been made by the authorities upon the Anarchists in a number of Italian cities, and a hundred were arrested. Several gendarmes were wounded while making the arrests.
