London, Nov. 19. The miners enthusiastically thanked. Lord Roseberry for the successful termination of the Conference. The Daily Chronicle describes the result as a great labor victory. Washington, Nov. 19. Twenty thousand people are starving in Wisconsin through the stoppage in the iron trade. The men are appealing to the Government for assistance. Sydney, Nov. 20. A section of the unemployed attended service at the Wesleyan Centenary Hall yesterday. Prior to the service they paraded the streets, headed by a man carrying a cross which was smeared with red paint. The cross bore the words " Murdered by the Rich " and " Humanity crucified." The police seized the crucifix. At the hall one of the unemployed offered up an objectionable prayer, condemning the clergy, but he was prevented from proceeding by the singing of a hymn. Melbourne, Nov. 20. A strike has occurred in the Corrumburra colliery owing to the refusal of the owners to pay the miners for slack.
