Sir —A letter under the above heading appears in a late issue of your paper, and is somewhat calculated to deceive the general public Y ou, sir, will I believe, bear me out that at the last meeting of the committee appointed to deal with the Park Board petition, the whole correspondence was laid before them, and, by an unanimous resolution it was admitted that Mr Rhodes had done all in his power to forward the objects of the petitions. It is strange the chairman of the Town Board did not make this resolution known through the medium of your paper.—l am, etc., A Satisfied Elector. [We cannot at all bear you out in that Mr Rhodes’s actions with regard to the park and cemetery was satisfactory, but we do not thiuk the matter of sufficient importance to discuss it. — Ed.]
