London, November 12. Tallow, medium mutton, 275; beef, 26s 6d. The English wheat market is lifeless, the Continental dull, and the American depressed. The New Zealand and Australian Jjan.i Company have declared a divide* l '! of 7 per cent. The Land and L'Van Company of New Zealand have declared a dividend of 4 per °9»*. and carried forward £3OOO. Nov. 13. The bulk of the Oruba’s butter, from Australia, has been placed at 124 a per cwt. At a meeting to-day of those engaged in the butter trade, a committee was formed to regulate the price for the colonial article, as is done in connection with the Danish. A price will be issued weekly. The first official price will be announced on Thursday next. Melbourne, Nov. 14. Out of the call, amounting to £153,000, which was made on the contributories in the Anglo-Australian Bank, only £620 has been paid The assets of the bank amount to £40,400 with which to meet debts amounting to £400,000. The Judge declined to make an order for a second call until information should bo forthcoming that there was reasonable hope of the levy being paid. He said that if he made an order in the present condition of things, it would only result in wasting in law courts what little assets there were.
