ACCIDENTS, FATALITIES, ETC.
A hand-cart man, named David Oliver, died suddenly at Auckland on Wednesday, from rupture of a blood vessel. At Auckland at the inquest on the body of Charles Augustus Slater, rcently arrived from Melbourne, a verdict of “ found drowned ” was returned. There was no evidence to show how he got into the water. A girl naned Boland, about 18 years of age, was fearfully burned at Gisborne on Wednesday, through her clothes catching fire. She died on Thursday. Elphfn Jfenderson, 18 years of age, was drowned whlltW crossing the Pelorous river. Charles Cunningham 4ie.d at fnyercargill on Tuesday uight, from internal injury, the result of a blow received in a friendly boxing match on Saturday at the Lady Barkly. Miss Baker, an elderly lady, fell downstairs at Auckland on Wednesday, and fractured h,es- skull. She lies insensible and iu a precarious statftMps Simnionds, wife of |a hotelkeeper at Tapiinui, died fpora accidental poisoning oa Wednesday night.. |
