LABOUR, ETC.
Sydney, Oct. 26. A body of unemployed made a raid on Round Hill station, in Culcairn, 30 miles from Albury. The ringleader was arrested and sentenced to a month's imprisonment. The evidence showed that the man was actually desperate from starvation. A strike is threatened in one of t ; e Newcastle collieries, unless the owners consent to share the work amongst the whole of the staff, instead of dismissing a number of the hands.
