Sydney, Oct. 19. The Colonial Treasurer delivered his Budget Speech to-night. The deficiency from 1892 waa stated at £1,099,000. The expenditure for 1883 amounted to £9,727,000, and tlie revenue to £9,526,000, being a deficit of £201,000. The total deficit is £1,500,000. It is proposed to deal with the deficit by the creation of Treasury bills, which will bo reduced by annual appropriations of £60,000, combined with deficiency bills amounting to £40,000 annually. For 1894 the estimated revenue will be £9,971,000, and the expenditure £9,854,000. Hobakt, Oct. 18. In the Legislative Assembly, Sir EL L. Dobson stated that if the Legislative Council did not withdraw the amendment to the Land Tax Bill, and allow the Government £20,000 or £20,000 to stop the colony from drifting into financial difficulty, a dissolution must take place.
