WOMEN’S FRANCHISE.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Can you inform me Is a woman living in adultery eligible to be enfranchised, and, if so, under what name may she sign—the name of the man she is at present living with, or must she sign under the surname of her lawful husband I—l am, etc., Vox Veritas. [Every woman over 21 years of age is entitled to vote, unless she is an fdien or a lunatic. The name of any person is registered for purposes of identification, and whatever name by which a woman would be best identified would, we think, do. There is no provision in the Act for such a case as you refer to. We have not reached so degraded a level as to make special provisions for registering such persons as you have brought under notice.— Ed.]
