RAPHAEL’S PREDICTIONS.
In the hieroglyphic cartoon of some of the principal events supposed to take place during the present year, Eaphael appears to have made several grand hits. One of the pictured coming events is the marriage of a British Princess, which may be taken to signify the marriage of Prince George with Princess May. Anothe? represents two British warships in collision, and a third cloao beside the two colliding ones, which may be the indication of the recent collision by which Admiral Tryon’s flagship, the Victoria, was sunk. Then there is another, in which the French troops nve shown in fighting array with an Eastern people, which may he read in the recent events in Siam.' For the present month of August, he prognosticates as follows: The position of Saturn is very serious, implying danger of war and sedition in the colonies, border warfare, and at home lamentable colliery explosions, shocks of earthquakes, heavy crime records, and much trouble in our foreign relations There will also be serious sickness in the land, and many terribly sudden deaths from heart disease. . In navigation, many disasters will ocCur, with great Joss of life. It will bo an unfortunate mouth for schools, young children, and places of amusement. Jupiter, located in - the sec nd house, denotes an increase in trade and commerce, but Mars, being in square, much cheating and fraud will occur, and many prosecutions for adulteration. Wife murders will he painfully prevalent, and sad married life, scandal in high quarters will occur. Mars will he in Leo and Virgo all the month, and will disturb France, Paris and an alarming extent, more p.-jpaoiaily about the middle of thq when an outburst of cyiiun may be expected. Ireland will be unquiet, and crime and sedition will be on the increase, yet WO may hope for a good and bountiful harvest in that land. Four jdanots in Leo denote a heated turbulent state of the atmosphere, wfth heavy storms of hail; these will be especially prevalent in Northern Italy, in Austria, and the South and North-east of France.
